RED LIGHT

The weather forecast for today was 100% chance of rain. What it didn't say was that we would get rain for 100% of the day.  It has just rained and rained.  No point in waiting for it to stop so I just grabbed my trolley and brolly and headed for the village.

Had 4 parcels to collect - all my online shopping has been delivered or collected now with nothing in the pipeline.  Did some food shopping in Tesco and Herons.

The Wide Wednesday theme is ' the light ".  Bit tricky to find on a grey wet day so when I spotted this red traffic light on my way home I  took a quick shot.  You can see the Number 1 bus in the distance... with its headlights on..Thanks to BobsBlips for hosting the challenge.

The Newcastle United squad are in Melbourne], Australia at the moment to play two post season friendly matches.  The first one was against Spurs this morning... 10.25am UK time.  A crowd of 80,000 watched the match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.  Newcastle have a big following in Australia and there was great excitement at the prospect of seeing the team play live for the first time.  The match ended in a 1 - 1 draw. Then there was a penalty shoot out which Newcastle won.  The next match will be played on Friday.
