How To Pour Tea

We were taken to the Potteries area outside Sale on the other side of the river from Rabat.

What a place that is!
All sorts of artisan crafts - not just pottery are made there but pottery is- and always was - the predominant craft ..... as attested to by the half hills surrounding the place.

It is a fantastic place for photo opportunities, but they really don't like pictures being taken and in a lot of the workshops/salerooms they are strictly forbidden
Such a shame.
It is also a shame that we had no way to get stuff home (or pay the shipping & import fees).
There was fantastic furniture, carpets, silk rugs and hangings, ironwork, functional and decorative ceramics ... you name it.

The BIL bought a brass lampshade but as it was missing a couple of bits of decorative coloured glass we had to wait a whole 5 minutes while bits of glass were cut to shape and size, fitted and the lamp polished. That is what I call service.

I was having a look at some wooden boxes and I was handed one by the proprietor with a challenge to open in. Of course I failed, despite closely examining all the joints.
Even when the 'lock' is undone you have to hold it in a certain way to get it to open. It took the bloke a bit to work it out .... and he knew how to do it!.
I bought it of course and it was even better value than the one I bought yesterday.

In the evening all 4 of us went out for a meal at "Real" Moroccan eatery.
There was singing and drumming for the punters and the food was fantastic ... and too much to eat really.

For all that they don't like pictures being taken in work environs, when the waiter arrived with the tea it was a case of "Have you got your cameras and videos ready?" before starting to pour it.
How can you pour it from above and behind your head into glasses being held down at thigh level without it going everywhere is beyond me.
Nearly as impressive as the bill (or lack of it) for the four of us (£10 a head).
I tried giving a tip and it was refused. Their premises'  policy is, they will only take what is on the bill. Not the norm I have to say.
