Point Erin sunset

It has been another non run day. I have little enthusiasm for running in the dark with a camera. I need to get back to being content with just running, and if there is a photo gained that is a plus. And a double plus when it is blippable.

A long day at the inpatient unit today. I am now covering the absence of two of the five specialists on the ward; one through annual and conference leave and one has gone off sick. The work itself is not particularly onerous; but the absence of a registrar (resident) means that I have to do all the documentation as well, and computerised notes take longer to complete than did scrawling a page of notes in longhand.

On my way home, I could see that the sky in the west was full of drama. Just after crossing the Harbour Bridge, I found somewhere to park, and I ran across Point erin Park to its northwestern edge and managed to take a group of photos from which I have spent some time choosing the one to post.

S has a preference of looking at views (especially of water) through trees. So she prefers the one I have put in blipfolio. I decided to seek nine year old advice tonight, rather than five year old. When he discovered that Granny likes trees, he was tempted to favour that one; he then opted for one showing the moored yachts.

His first preference had an odd pink flare in it. When I said that the pink was not visible in real life, he opted for this one. I agreed.

I am really pleased that the boys have observed what works and doesn't. Also that they have the comfort and confidence to tell me which one they prefer.

Mr H did comment however, that I "take a lot of pictures of the sun over the water". Indeed I do. It's one of the consequences of staying in this beautiful part of the world, and being attracted to the effects of light.
