Sunshine All The Way

Possibly the hottest day of the year so far with temperatures reaching over 30 degrees here in sunny Stratford.

We flopped in the garden this morning with the papers then after lunch met Emma for tea/coffee at The Fourteas cafe on Sheep Street. This tea room has modelled itself on an 1940's (get it, fourteas, forties) café, with lots of period trappings, including the uniforms worn by the staff and the ration book menus. Excellent pot of Earl Grey, though unfortunately not forties prices.

After, I met Roz and Martin in The Garrick where we had a very enjoyable pint or two of Abbot Ale and a good chinwag.

Either of these places would have made ideal blip material, but having left my camera at home, my phone could not do it justice, another day maybe. In the meantime here is a reflection (pun intended) of the glorious weather we're having; a stark shadow cast against our pale wall.
