Skipping round the Garden

I've never seen as many skipper butterflies around in our garden as I have this year and because they are so very colourful and proper little characters, are very blip worthy.

A day in the garden today! The rain the night before has made our really heavy clay soil that bit easier to work with the weeds coming out with much less effort. The tomatoes have grown like triffids and need a bit of tlc - there is nothing like eating your own home grown from the greenhouse - the smell, the taste, the whole experience.

Roses next on the list...a huge amount of dead-heading!
