Lovely morning walk.
A sunny start for the slightly later (7.45) Thursday morning walk. There were spots where there was a sneaky cool wind but generally it was very pleasant.
We were going to have an alternative ‘ bluebell ‘ walk but one of our number who hasn’t joined us for a while texted to say she would see us part way on the walk so we couldn’t do that. Never mind we saw some anyway as you can see and they will get better over the coming weeks.
Passing The Ivy Kitchen we could see their decorated arch for Easter. Nice.
On to the pond and for a change I had some duck food but they weren’t interested, too much feeding in the school holidays!
We walked to where a swan had just come out of the water and enjoyed a few minutes watching a Nuthatch flitting around. This particular duck food has seeds in it so I threw some down for it.
After breakfast and a shower, I started making the filling for a vegetarian shepherds pie for this evening. Chris went up to church to help set up for the Maundy Thursday supper and service. He then put up the cross in the church garden. When he got home he did the mash for the top and veg to go with it. Two others are making meat versions.
Turned into a lovely sunny Thursday with washing now done and dried.
