Trixie's Adventures

By TrixieTheCollie

Happy little Collie

This morning I went on my normal little trek around, which involved walking along the beach in the sunshine and buying lovely fresh bread from St Ives Bakery. Then Ann went to work. It wasn't very busy at work (though she did make at least 15 bacon sandwiches & a few other things) but 5 hours on her feet tires her out. Sometimes when she comes home, she just takes me into the field to play with my ball.  'MollyCollie' would NEVER have accepted such a short walk/play.

Today was one of those days.................. all she wanted to do was lie down and have a rest, but obv she couldn't because I needed to go to the toilet. Ann loves the fact that I am a lazy little Collie. She took me into the field and after about 10 mins of playing with my ball, I flopped down. Ann sat on a bench and had a little rest and told me that 10 mins of playing wasn't enough exercise, so after I'd had enough flop down time I played for a little bit more. But do you know what?................. after about another 5 mins of play, I ran to the field gate. That means I've played for enough and want to go home.

When we got home we sat outside in the sunshine for half an hour, and now I've gobbled up all of my breakfast (that I hadn't eaten at breakfast time) and I'm lying flaked out again.

Ann's going to go into 'domestic goddess mode' and make a big pot of chicken curry and a big pot of beef chilli. Then she'll portion it all up and freeze it, to be eaten at a later date.

.............And in other news................. Ann's knee that she hurt on our walk on Thursday, has turned yellow? Is that normal? She has had no sign of bruising whatsoever. It still hurts when she kneels on it, and when she walks down hills, it's still a little bit painful, but apart from that it's OK. Just wondering if it's normal to have a bruised knee that doesn't go purple first??? She's guessing that as long as she can carry on with her normal life everything is OK??!!
