Toast and Strawberry Jam

Merlin loves toast. He usually gets a little crust if he is well behaved.

We spent the bank holiday walking Merlin, and myself, working at the allotment. The weeds and grass are growing and needed tackling. The beetroot seedlings I put in a week or so ago are just about hanging on. I planted out a few sweet peas and made a structure from some hawthorn canes I cut down in the garden over the winter. Being a bank holiday there was a scattering of other people busy on their plots.

Andy watched the football in the afternoon and made a rhubarb crumble.

By evening I felt quite tired after walking Merlin twice and walking to the allotment twice.
