Pimms in the garden

She took some persuasion, but this afternoon I managed to tempt Mummy hazelh out into the garden at her care home for about an hour in the sunshine. There I served her a very weak glass of Pimms.

The other excitement of the day was to find a photograph of Mummy hazelh’s own mother - my Granny T - in a photograph on the ‘Nostalgia’ pages of this week's Hexham Courant (extra - bottom right hand corner with her pupils). We didn’t know at the time that it was my not-so-little sister who had submitted this shot from 1969 to the paper.

I’m posting this from the train on my journey back to Edinburgh after my day in Newcastle. I’m looking forward to watching last night’s Race across the world with Mr Hazelh when I reach home.

Exercise today: walking (22,470 steps).
