A day of deliveries

1st of May!  Beltane! 1er Mai!  I was pleased to see the lily of the valley have just about survived the heat to give me a posy for May 1st.  (See extras) and I watered it this evening to keep it going as I want to pick some posies for the bedrooms of those staying. 

We had two men putting up TWO marquees today, a delivery of an incredibly heavy base for the new parasol, a new bench which Vik had to put together (it’s bit too blue) and a lot of small parcels.  Combined with cleaners and Lance who power washed the patio it was a busy day on the property.  

I spent most of the morning on the zoom with Amit and Matt and then had to write up notes in the afternoon.  I think we’re nearly there to submit with this one. 

I put this photo up because although I am worried that the garden at the party is going to be in a ‘between’ stage (the gardener’s lament, ‘you should have seen it last week!’), with forget me nots and tulips faded but roses only slightly out at best at least this wisteria is absolutely wonderful.  We had dinner outside and looked at its plump plumes hanging softly over the freshly power washed path and gazed and gazed.
