FLOWER FRIDAY - FROM A BUNCH OF TULIPS

I think it’s fair to say
That we have given of our best
And now we need to be thrown into the compost bin
To add to the already growing pile of stuff in there
To enrich the garden in due time.

Sometimes we feel that we have done our best 
But can give no more...
We can no longer pour from an empty cup
But thankfully, and hopefully too
We won’t be thrown onto the scrap heap of life.

Perhaps we all need to tell those we love
That they are not responsible for fixing everything
That they can take time to rest
And to recharge their empty batteries
WHY NOT TELL SOMEONE TODAY?

I have enjoyed these tulips that I brought home from Church last Sunday, and they have done well, considering they were rescued from the bin  - but their place has now been taken by some beautiful pink chrysanthemums, see extra,  given to me by a friend yesterday - and my orchids are also blooming well, so I have those to enjoy on my kitchen windowsill.
