Devon

We had a very good journey south from the Cotswolds down to the north Devon coast. We had booked a pitch on a small five van site at Appledore (encouraged by the lovely scenes posted by blipper Simonslife) and we were delighted with our surroundings. We walked along the coast path with lovely views out over the estuary and lots of folk enjoying a dip in the sea in the evening sun. We were tempted to stop at a hostelry right beside the sea for a drink and then made a spur of the moment decision to also have a fish supper there too. It was a very good decision as we were agreed that it was one of the best fish suppers we have had (extra).
After a gentle stroll back to the campervan through a narrow street with beautiful pastel-coloured houses (main) and artistic house name plaques, we watched a beautiful sunset before retiring for the night. (second extra)
