Mothers' Day (international, US, version)
Despite the late night I still woke early but didn't get up till nearly 9.
Another beautiful day. Sat outside and programmed Mum's new phones and listened to baby Conor whimper but never really a full blown cry. Y came round for a quick coffee before her family lunch and we sat outside in the sun, though by the time she left at midday it was clouding over. During the hour there has been a delivery ( though no-one rang the bell), flowers from #1 son and family for Mothers' Day, cheery yellow roses.
The rest of the day was spent plonking plants in containers and digging up some lily of the valley for Y. And if course watering. I didn't water round the front. I'll probably need to tomorrow.
The cloud lifted a bit and there was a slight breeze. I'd charged the shirts for jeans so was a bit hot. Changed the time in the clock and had a struggle getting in back in the nail and installed the fly screen door. It looks good and should help keep the buzzy things out. Y has also had a lot of sleepy honey bees in the house but we've no idea where they are coming from.
Eventually, after 6 stopped and went down to Margiotta for summer unhealthy food. There shelves seem quite bare these days. It was very cloudy and some of them were dark. Maybe, maybe rain!
Are, watched some TV and started to watch Ross Kemp's WDYTYA but gave up. Late night plus standing for hours putting up plants equals exhaustion so off to bed. And it still hasn't rained.
