Barbecue ready

Another busy old day getting ready for our visitors. After seeing the sun shining through the kitchen windows yesterday evening I realised that cleaning them with a spray and kitchen towel just hadn’t done the job so once I’d finished breakfast out came the basin of hot water and the squeegee!

The fridge was next in line for a going over, how do we accumulate so many out of date jars of sauces?

A trip to the shops for fresh veg and bread and to drop off a couple of parcels at the lockers whilst Mr PHL took Phin to the Oakwoods for a cool walk. Home to put away the shopping, wash the kitchen floor and have a bite of lunch.

The chicken is marinating in a Greek style yoghurt, lemon juice, oil, oregano and garlic sauce, the couscous with roasted veg is chilling in the fridge and the prawns are ready for their olive oil and garlic heated bath.

Thought I’d better try and post the TinyTuesday results before our visitors arrive as I doubt I’ll have time afterwards.
