Grumpy Old Man

Rockets galore!

The beginnings of a slight change in the weather today - not quite the blazing sunshine we've been getting used to!

Back on to sorting pictures this morning - 550 for a week away doesn't seem too bad! Even so, I'm way behind with earlier pictures.

After lunch I went to an Oban Photographic Society committee meeting in our President's house at the other end of the town. Not very exciting - usual routine stuff. One of our greatest difficulties is finding new members - numbers dropped during Covid and we're struggling to make them up.

Back home and out on the deck with a cuppa - though the sun had gone in it was still warm. A few drops of rain fell on my Kindle, but now the sun is out again. No chance for a Blip while I was out today, so here's a picture of a pot of the amazing Primula vialii, "originating from wet meadows, or near water in high valleys of SW Sichuan and northern Yunnan in southern China." This is a bought plant, but I sowed seed of another of my plants last year and have quite a few smaller plants in flower now. Must find somewhere good to plant them!
