Skara Brae
Today we visited Skara Brae, famously the best-preserved Neolithic village in Northern Europe, and also another part of the Heart of Neolithic Orkney UNESCO World Heritage Site.
So interesting, and well worth the time spent.
Entry to Skara Brae also included access to the adjacent Skaill House, a 17th century mansion.
This was the home of the man who discovered Skara Brae (in 1850), and was also really worthwhile going in to.
We then had a walk along the beautiful beach there - just a really stunning setting.
