Long Day
Woken very early by a noisy, gusty East wind. Fitful sleep after. A last walk with J this morning before she headed home saw us up the Dysynni valley and up the hill a little way. A good ramble for the dogs too but sunshine was in short supply, fleeces were worn. We popped into Kings for a toasted teacake before J's departure, after which I headed for pottery and did a couple of hours of glazing.
With the elderflowers popping up everywhere, I decided it was time to make this years batch of elderflower cordial. The ball field has a goodly crop so the dogs and I had a trip there, in sunshine which brightened the afternoon. While there we had a catch up chat with the current residents of the big house which was nice. L is still struggling with the impact of Long Covid but now has an e-bike to get around on.
Elderflowers in the bag and lemons picked up in town, we arrived at the station just as Jamie's train arrived. Bella was very pleased to see him. He came to mine for tea and chat. We adjourned to his for more tea and chat .... before which the blip was captured from his car park.
