Tuesday 20 May 2025: Over the fence
Back to warm again today. Pilates this morning and then, as my friend is still in Canada, Chris and I went to the garden centre for a coffee. He wanted some compost and I wanted to look at cards.
This afternoon as the sun dissipated a bit so we both did some gardening. Chris is mainly sorting out the pots that have had daffodils and tulips in them and I've been pulling out spent bluebells, forget me nots and a few weeds. Being so dry there aren't that many weeds but the ones there are are hard to get out of the dry ground.
I've done the front garden and will start on the back tomorrow.
One lot of ironing done (a morning activity as it's cooler) and two more lots of washing. We're expecting rain at the weekend - well it is a UK Bank holiday! - so I need to get it all out and dry while I can.
In the front garden here you can see my neighbour's Clematis Montana going mad including pouring over into our garden. I don't mind at all, the green is also from there and is a Honeysuckle which I'm happy to have too. Below are some of my Alliums flowering, Aquilegia and Geranium which will be in flower very soon.
I've completed one Flickr album on the start of our holiday in Arran and the end in Stirling. The link is here if you are interested
