It was hard to get
myself out the door today -
I want a BIG rest!

As we drove into our driveway last evening, I could see that my annoying neighbours are once again gearing up for yet another "garage sale".

As I left the house this morning, the neighbours were outside fussing with their arrangements. I headed off to McArthur Island Park.

The Canada geese with their goslings seem to have taken over the park. I'm not seeing any ducks with their ducklings. I'm hoping they have found a secure place to raise their young.

I stopped near the footbridge to find a pair of geese herding their young across the baseball field. On the footbridge I could see parents and goslings cruising the waters of the slough. The slough itself is looking better, but the water has not been completely turned over yet by the rise of the river. That may well come this weekend as our temperatures are rising.

I found a squirrel cleaning up the bird food people have left on the ground. He didn't pause long before he was back in the nearest tree.

I drove to the south side to check out the marmot situation. There seems to be many babies scampering about in the grass. They like to stay close to the river bank and duck down there at the slightest movement.

I picked up some groceries and my favourite cup of coffee, then headed home.

It will be a day with my feet up. I am tired.
