Day off
I've begun to think of Friday as my day off from my scheduled week. I swithered about a swim but did go and if course was glad I did but it was busy. Skip the next bit if you don't want an explanation of leave usage at Gracemount.
There are 2 slow lanes (I'm a slow swimmer). The one nearest the side is really the talking lane, those who come to chat, not swim, plus 3 or 4 days a week the woman who is blind swims. She doesn't follow the traffic rules but swims up and down beside the lane divider. So that means the next door slow lane gets busy. But some people in that lane are faster and should really be in the medium lane. One woman swims quite fast but her friend is slower so they are both in the slow lane but have to keep overtaking. Today the medium lane was almost empty but still the faster swimmers stayed in the slow lane. It is mad.
Wee rant over, and back. Home I did some Apex admin and then rushed to get properly dressed and haul the bike into the back of the car. There's a problem with the rear wheel, as suspected gripping brake, and I was taking it to Bridgend Cycles. Left it there to be fixed. Call later confirmed it had been done but I'll collect tomorrow.
Came home via Sainsbury's for a few things that turned into quite an expensive shop. It was still sunny and I sat, and then lay, in the sun before doing some more gardening. It was mainly feeding the pot plants before the forecast rain but I also did some planting of the plants bought yesterday. The rest will wait till after the rain.
It was hard work lugging the watering can around, front and back so while it was still warmish though cloudy I rewarded myself with a G&T, with the newly bought gin, outside.
Started to watch Chelsea but for some reason my left leg was really sore and uncomfortable so I didn't even make it to HIGNFY.
Extra is the Wee pedal info at Bridgend.
