No longer a teenager...

It’s been rather a refreshingly quiet day today.

The frantic working nature of the last few weeks has briefly subsided, and I’ve found myself with a little time to breathe and take stock. Even able to start the day with a brew in lovely company enjoying what I am sure will be the last of the year’s sun!

So, I used the quiet time to work on my lines, which are very nearly but not quite almost all there, and to get ready for the arrival of the Eldest who is coming home to have the weekend with her family and celebrating her 20th birthday.

The speed at which we have reached this point is terrifying, but I am going to enjoy the four and a half months or so where I don’t have a teenager for a little while!

As for The Eldest: she’s crushing it. Year 2 of Uni is done (assignments notwithstanding), she’s all set for Year 3 and her personal life is full and thriving. I could not be more proud of her. Safe to say that she was mobbed by her younger siblings on her arrival.

It’s a few days early, but it was a fine way to sign off the week with some birthday celebrations courtesy of a delicious barbecue at my parents house.

Doesn’t matter what the weather is doing from here, as there is a very lovely three-day weekend lined up and I hope that you all enjoy it!

Because you’ll blink and we’ll all be another 20 years on. And at 67 I’ll still be no where near retirement age.

Or possibly dead.

Have a great weekend all! x
