Lupin
Last April, I planted several hundred bulbs in the corner bed behind the house, beside the raised beds. At the same time, W scattered some seed. And a few random plants have grown from the seed. One lupin, which didn't flower last year, but which has really grown this year and is producing multiple flower spikes. There's also a few cornflowers of some sort, a large white daisy of some sort, and a solitary orange poppy.
Because they've grown from scattered seeds, they're a bit random in placement. The lupin is squashing a small shrub. And one of the cornflowers has escaped the bed entirely, and is growing at the edge of the tarmac drive! Maybe in the autumn we can resite them. Meanwhile they're certainly adding colour whilst waiting for the gladioli to grow.
I had a hair cut this morning, and W went off to gardening club. In the afternoon I did some ironing and some fluting.
I had hoped to do a bit more weeding, but I've developed a bit of vertigo over the last couple of weeks - typical of BPPV. Bending and stretching to weed is provocative. Instead, I tried an Epley Manoeuvre. I think it has helped.
