Pastel pencils
I promised myself a weekend of sorting out the two studies. In truth, a weekend is not long enough, but I have made progress.
I keep being surprised by the things I find in Mum’s workroom/study. A few years ago, she had a go at drawing with pastels but hated the messiness. There are two boxes of almost unused, high quality pastels. Then I found these lovely pastel pencils; not nearly as messy.
Liz will have them on her return from holiday.
I have interspersed sorting with sitting and knitting whilst watching Irvine Welsh’s Crime series.
The last thing I found on Mum’s desktop was a leaking bottle of rose oil, used to refresh pot pourri. A tiny drop on one finger and I am reeking with the perfume!
Two separate friends got in touch today to check I was OK, because they knew that the job might be emotional. Wasn’t that lovely?
