Finishers
I'm so proud of these two girls. In the Edinburgh Marathon festival at the weekend, Isobel did the 1.5km for 6-8 year olds and Eilidh the 5k . Both did well in their sections and are very proud of their medals.
I was baby sitting this evening and took Isobel for her piano lesson then picked up Eilidh and took them both home. They were being very loving and supporting of each other... as always worth siblings that's not always the case. As House Captain, Eilidh had been motivating her house in the warm up for the School Sports which were today and for which the rain held off.
Eilidh persuaded Isobel to do a violin practice then joined in with her on a couple of pieces. I love it when they are so caring of each other like that.
The rest of the day - a planned phone conversation with my GP resulted in the decision that I didn't need to start taking statins which I'm pleased about. So I remain unmedicated for the time being which also makes life easier.
Colin and I went out, planning to stop somewhere and have some lunch and to go to Aldi then ended up just coming home and having baked potatoes!
I visited the Rectory and took a series of photographs of each room to hold as a record of its condition when ready to hand over to a new incumbent.
A day in the life, lol.
Here's a strange thing - the nearby church we are linked with put up a Facebook post yesterday with an audio recording of a performance of a song in Tamil being sung during communion.
I sent the link to my friend Ida in Tirunelveli, which is in Tamil Nadu, as I thought she would be interested. I woke this morning to a message from Ida with a different video of the same performance.
She had sent my video to her friend whose daughter was in Scotland. This friend lives very close to where I was staying in February (half a km away). Ida thought she'd be interested to hear they were singing a sing in Tamil. Her friend said, that's my son in law and granddaughter singing and sent her a video of the same performance which they had sent to her.
The one I had had, had had was a stool with images of the singers removed! What a ridiculously small world! - You couldn't make it up,.....I know someone in Scotland who knows someone from India, Oh look, it's the same people - extraordinary!
(Four hads in a row back there, sorry!)
