Grumpy Old Man

Cruisin'

Saturday, so it was a visit to the pier for fresh fish this morning. MrsM needed to visit a couple of other shops so I dropped her off and drove down to the Corran Halls to have another look at the dreaded shrub beds which were my Blip yesterday. Why do people have to chop shrubs all the time - it must be one of things which annoy me most in life!

While I was there I met a friend who was at one time a member of the Photo Cub, so had a brief chat. Then I noticed another cruise ship out in the bay - this was the 'SH Diana', "the largest and most modern ship in the Swan Hellenic Fleet." She carries only 192 passengers which is unusually small for such a large ship. Maybe I should book a holiday cruise - how about 'The Long Way Cruise, Buenos Aires to Ushuaia'. Only £13,880 per person! I don't think so.

Popped into Pets at Home on the way back and bought a few tropical fish to inhabit my newly cleaned tank. Then back to the desk - last u3a Poetry Reading Group on Tuesday, so picked out a few poems to read out.

Mixed weather this afternoon - bright sunlight one minute, heavy rain the next. Sunny at the moment so I'll nip out and do a bit of weeding!
