June doorstep.

After our walk yesterday and a bit of gardening, Chris wanted more compost from Woodbank garden centre as he’s still busy with his pots. He asked if I’d like to go, he probably regretted it as I got these two Dalia’s to put in matching green pots on the kitchen doorstep. 
I don’t know why but we don’t usually do Dahlia’s. There were some very large and striking ones but they seemed to only have a couple of buds so I went for these contrasting ones which as you can see are full of buds. I hope we get to enjoy them all summer which meteorologically it apparently now is!

The girls have had their summer haircuts - extra. It being the end of the half term holiday they will be getting ready to return to school for the remainder of the summer term and Jude for her last term at pre school. Time flies.
