I had a blood test appointment this morning, so I parked on Rhian's drive and we walked round to the hospital together. My blood was taken from a vein never used before, slightly to the outside of the elbow crook... it hurt!

Testing my tyre pressures on Rhian's drive I discovered that my relatively new gauge was impossible to use on the Aygo's wheels, due to the position of the steel rims and also.... shock, horror, only one of the valves had a dustcap. I'll get some! So the tyre pressure monitor in the car works, and I refilled with air at BP Mickleover before shopping at Tesco for chicken for tonight.

After lunch I went for a walk and spotted this snail, and another, near the top of a thistle....

Chicken in a spicy (too spicy for me!) tomatoey sauce with pasta was served for dinner with added cheddar as per the recipe, plus what I thought was leftover parsley... it was coriander, but so what.

It's pleasing that my son and his partner have taken up cycling and cycle 20+ miles almost every day. He's ADHD, which I so wish I'd known when he was a child, and he's finding that the exercise in nature is helpful and makes him feel better. Long may it last, although the nature of the condition makes that... well I don't want to say unlikely because I hope that's not the case. Keep hoping!
