Library Makeover

Hello again. It's been a very long time since I've posted anything here on Blip. I've been lurking some, but Kendall inspired me to come 'round again. Lots has changed in our life (LaurieT and me), and I will catch you up bit by bit. 

In the meantime -- 

This is our little neighborhood library (not to be confused with a Little Free Library) - it is part of the county library system, which is beloved and well funded by us, the taxpayers. It's been a small, rather crowded space for many years. Now it is undergoing a major upgrade, adding thousands of square feet, including a second story, 

From the artist's rendition, it looks as though the original structure will still be part of it (extra), including the cupola, which I've always loved. I'm glad they're at least keeping a remnant of the history - I'm not fond of a lot of modern buildings replacing old stately ones.
