Fourth of July

Chris brought these for me earlier this week, they have opened beautifully so I thought they would make a nice flower Friday blip. For the past 4 weeks I have bought peonies to make up for the fact that my pink peony didn't flower this year. I kept each bunch two weeks and they just didn't open! Such a disappointment.
Made up for that today as I’ve been to M & S at Owlcoats as I realised my 20% off discount code expires next weekend and we’ll be away. I got toiletries worth £38 but with the discount and a gift voucher they’d also sent me I only spent £5.40. Worth the journey! 
Called at our other garden centre ( Bingley GC formerly Stephen Smiths) on my way back as I had a free birthday cake voucher on my Green card so I had a coffee and cream scone. Doing well today.

Chris has gone out to meet his friend this afternoon. It is usual on a Friday but today is special as it is his birthday. Yes on the 4th of July! Happy 4th July to all others celebrating today.

We are going out for a joint birthday lunch on Sunday.

Enjoyed the film last night, just my kind of gentle humour. ‘Jane Austin Wrecked my Life’. It was half in French with subtitles and half in English.
