NHM: Cocoon of Curves & Contrasts
More and less in large ("L").
First of all, thank you very much for all of the kind comments that you left me yesterday; I was (and am) touched by all of your kind words and encouraging feedback. You sent my 500th blip to the spotlight which was a wonderful email to read and sight to see when I woke this morning!
This is the Darwin Centre cocoon taken from the 5th floor bridge between DC2 and DC1; this is now very close to where I work. If you look on this picture, I took today's photo from just beneath the light visible in pretty much the tightest space between the curve of the cocoon and the straight pillars of the outside wall/window.
It is nice to work in a different part of the building; I'm now in the modern Darwin Centre which is less characterful than the crypt, but is a refreshing change of scene...
