Today

This is a view of the Mississippi river from the hotel rooftop bar...just before sunset. I feel a bit guilty for taking their photo and not asking for permission.

Today involved tracking down somewhere with a healthy breakfast (found it- bowl of fruit with no syrup or sugar- hooray)

Had my first milkshake in the states this trip at a deli featured in 'The firm' film (happy coincidence...I have met John Grisham who wrote the book but he was far more interested in the person I was meeting him with).

Went for a walk of death (read adventure, heat, sunburn, dodgy areas, no pavement, abandoned buildings) to find the De Ja Vu (Creole, vegetarian restaurant) amazing food. Went to a the Memphis fire-fighters museum. Shut in a room for a fire simulation and smoke fell from the station and the temperature rose accordingly.... and holidays are for relaxing?????
