More books

Another hot, hot day that started in the very early quiet of the morning with coffee in my neighbour Diane's cool, shady patio (extra) and then morphed into a very hot and noisy day. 

My next door neighbours were having their roof re-shingled!  Lots of banging, pounding and hammering...so in a way it was a good day for that as I couldn't sit outside anyway! I felt so sorry for those poor roofers though, up there in that scorching sun - probably the worst place one could be on a day like today! 

I am still reading Friends and enjoying it thoroughly and have The Mitford Affair waiting in the wings.It wasn't a book I had on my to-read list, but my friend Mary in Grand Manan and I have been following the Britbox TV series Outrageous, waiting patiently each week for the next episode to drop. Well, Quelle Surpise, an episode did not drop this week! Seems last week was the finale? Say what? And there may not even be a second season? Like, what's with that? So..what happens next?  Mary suggested we keep our interest up by reading the book The Mitford Affair..so that is the plan. I will miss the show and our animated discussions on FaceTime after each episode, but maybe the book will be just as interesting?
