Wound up in Wexford

Garden

Another day of intermittent showers, some briefly torrential, interspersed with some sunny spells, but always windy.

We've had an indoor day.  W baked rusks.  I did another session on the static cycle.  And then we moved furniture around.

We have more than enough wardrobe space in our dressing room.  But there isn't room for both of mum and dad's wardrobes in the spare bedroom.  So the larger one was in our bedroom.  But a couple of weeks ago I mooted the idea of swapping them around - put the larger, more functional one in the spare bedroom, bring the smaller one into our bedroom as cupboard space.

W built a little dolly, to sit them on, and today I emptied them and we moved them.  We also moved an oak cupboard again.  This had started out in our bedroom.  It was moved to the spare bedroom during the winter.  But with the larger wardrobe in there, it was now too full.  So the oak cupboard has now been moved out onto the landing.

When I saw the rainbow this morning, it stimulated me I to taking a photo of the garden.  For comparison with this.  We have given the flower beds names.  The one with the kniphofia alongside the driveway is the "gate bed".  The central one beyond the pond is the "Buddha bed" (it has a large concrete Buddha in it).  And the far right hand one is the "plough bed" - I can't find a blip of the plough in its final location - must do one.

Nearest the house, and not well seen is the "driveway bed", it is still under development, but may get an architectural ornament eventually.  The bed around the pond doesn't really have a name, because the "pond bed" refers to the very first bed we created, around the small pond.

Looking back at these blips helps me to realise how much progress we've made, in only 2½ years.
