Waiting!

Last night we saw that a scooter meeting was expected at the local pub tonight at 8.00pm.

We were (mis) informed that around 80 scooter riders would arrive about 6.30 pm.

Could we miss such a blip opportunity! At 6.30 the only scooters we saw were being pushed by two children coming out of the local primary school. Still the pub manger assured us they would be starting to arrive at 6.45. But no, just one arrived to put up a banner.

One of our blippers went home for tea and the rest of us, with husbands, retired to the beer garden to await developments. Soon the little bit of dampness in the air turned to rain, so we went inside as it turned dark, but intrepid blippers ( not me - Corinthian Column and Wendles56 suitably attired) stuck it out. The excitement was too much and I was hungry so home we came leaving Corinthian Column and Yorkshirebred to see it out to the bitter end. ( Wendles56 had the sense to leave too). I think they had to abandon the BBQ too!

Such is the level of excitement in our village!
