Coloured Finds for a Dull Day

15.1C starting foggy then clearing to monotonous dullness. Zephyr.

Maeve the Deerhound and I went for our walk after lunch. The fog had gone but the dullness had not. No sign of harvesting in the potato field yet. Another field further to the East was being harvested as we walked down the bridle path towards the shore.

When we reached the beach the tide was well out. I noticed that there was a distinct strand line on the sand. We turned left and headed along towards Easthaven, turning back where the Craigmill burn meets the beach. When there is an obvious strand line there are often things to be found.

We walked back along to the Fishermen's huts. No one was around. The red tractor was on the beach awaiting the return of 'Valhalla VI'. We carried on along the beach to the car park at Westhaven then made our way home.

I blipped the coloured pottery pieces and the brightest Sea Glass on a piece of cartridge paper. I found a lot more Sea Glass, some of which was small enough to go in the bottle we are filling.
