The Edge of the Wold

Bringing in the flock

Here we see Gus rounding up his flock on the Helm at lunchtime. Rowan brings out Gus's inner sheepdog in a way that no sheep can. Rowan puts up with the herding very well, though there was a slight altercation when he thought Gus was after his frisbee. There's a shot of Gus taking a breather here, and one of him admiring the view, and one of him looking at the clouds.

That was the joyful part of the day, the fun of keeping pets. The sadder side was coming home, and there being no Bob cat there to greet the car as he has done almost every day for all the years we have had him. The poor lad was in the hall by the front door, struggling with his breathing, whilst he's eaten nothing all day. I fear we are very close to the dying of the light, this may be his last night with us.

Forgive me if I don't comment tonight.
