Life is a Challenge!

PINK DAY 9 - SHADES OF PINK

Had a lovely morning in school playing games with the children in reception - and I really enjoyed it. For the past couple of years I have done mostly admin work in the school, and I know it has been much appreciated, but today I really felt a bond with the children and it was good!

Decided to walk into the Old Town area rather than catch a bus, and I am glad I did - I never realised just how many PINK flowers are still blooming - I did see roses too, but have already blipped one.

Sometimes we can be put off doing things because the weatherman on the TV tells us that the warm weather won't be around for much longer, or it's going to be cold, or it will rain, so we perhaps don't bother - but they aren't always right and although there is a decided "nip" in the air, it is still enjoyable to be out in the open and to enjoy God's creation.

I know for those going through treatment for cancer and other illnesses, life can be difficult, and I was reminded of that by a comment someone made on my blip yesterday, but there is much beauty around to enjoy and this quote sums it up so I hope you all feel able to do this today.

“Today, just take time to smell the roses,
enjoy those little things about your life,
your family, spouse, friends, job.
Forget about the thorns -
the pains and problems they cause you -
and enjoy life”
