Wall book launch

A few weeks ago I helped out by taking a photo for a group of people in Wall Village, just down the road from Humshaugh. Today was the launch of the book they have been labouring over for the last few months. My photo looks very nice inside the front cover.

There was a jolly "do" in Wall Village Hall this morning with speeches, poetry and music. The latter was a very fetching tale about an old sheepdog that saved a lamb in the depths of winter, before dying in the corner of the kitchen. There wasn't a dry eye in the house!

Steve Cram wrote the foreword to the book. He kindly agreed to be photographed - seen here in front of the Wall village embroidery. He said he was very happy to be photographed because he had just returned from holiday - with a terrific tan. I didn't say that I knew it would give me a few problems, not least the reflections from the ceiling lights! ;-)

PS For overseas viewers Steve Cram was a successful middle distance runner who comes from the north east of England.

New wrist straps arrived for the cameras today - more safety measures ready for India.
