Afternoon tea at Matfen

The bad weather meant that the boats could not set sail from Seahouses today. We three, Christine, Lesley and I, were due to go to photograph the seal pups. We were quite glad not to be sailing on high seas in pouring rain.

Christine came up with an alternative activity. She took us to Matfen Hall for tea in the parlour. As you can see, we were supplied with a proper, old fashioned tea. This is the amount for 2 people. We drank tea, chatted, indulged ourselves and chatted some more until I think they were ready to eject us - but of course the staff were too polite to make that obvious.

We did go to look at the gym afterwards.........
