A Quiet Moment

The day, for katkatkat, Daniel and I began at 5.30am when Daniel woke shouting for his dad to get him up. We had said we would get up to allow his dad a more relaxing start to the day, though Daniel did insist on daddy making a loaf of bread before letting him disappear for an early-morning bath.

The morning was spent around the house then I was left to amuse Daniel while The Man, with Arkanespark navigating, took Kat to the train station. Emily went along for the ride too.

This quiet time was NOT while I was left babysitting, no, we put shoes and coats on and went outside to run about with a ball and blow bubbles on the damp grass.

There was an even quieter time later on when both babes were sleeping and we had a glass or two of wine and talked about how amazed we were that Daniel recognises numbers up to 10 and the letters of the alphabet. He isn't 2 until next month and he wants to stop and read out car numberplates as we pass them.

It won't be long before he's teaching The Grandparents a thing or two!

Edit: To help The Mother keep in touch I've put a few more of the day's photos on Flickr. Work backwards with the left-hand arrow from HERE Mum!
