Golden Barrel Cactus

This is a small, immature cactus in my yard. The shadow of the house has just nicked the corner of it.

It is a beautiful sunny day with sunshine, blue skies and a temperature is 66F (18.9C). I'm sitting on my patio just soaking up the warmth.

The only down side is that the three inches of rain this week has brought out a lot of insects and some plants have pollinated which have given us lots of bees. So today they have been hanging around the feeder.

That's both good news and bad news for the Zipper. Lots of gnats to eat but bees on the feeder where he drinks. He'll cope.
