Winter in Wisley

I slept so well last night and it was great to wake at 7.45, and find it was well light outside.

Thereafter a lazy morning. Some shopping in Chobham then off to Wisley for a walk around the RHS, lunch in the cafe and a big mooch round the shop, even some buying. It is very unseasonal, 13 degrees.

The towers of poinsettia in the glasshouse were fine but I preferred the external view.

H and I have talked all day so if was peaceful to have a quiet time with the Telegraph while she made the dinner. Crackers and charades and then more chat, now the 3 of us.

I'm fortunate, 2 weekends in a row with dear friends, who know me well and with whom I can fair loosen my stays.
