This display is at our local supermarket, where we stopped on the way back from exercising at the fitness center. We have just returned from our first Cincinnati Symphony concert of the new season. It was a terrific concert, on the whole, including the Cincinnati May Festival Chorus in two of the works. There was one piece I wasn't so keen on though. The conductor of the CSO is Paavo Jarvi, who is Estonian, and he champions the work of his fellow Estonian, contemporary composer, Erkki-Sven Tuur. The piece was his 7th Symphony and a U.S. premier. Try as I might, I just don't get on too well with a lot of modern music, and this was no exception! When we came out of Music Hall, guess what? It was raining again, together with thunder and lightening! Fortunately, we didnt have far to go to our car!
