Ice Storm Zebra

Not to be confused with Ice Station Zebra...a 1968 movie starring 2 of my favorite actors...Ernest Borgnine, and Jim Brown. (Ha!...not really.)

It seems like our weather people are now naming our winter storms. This current storm is named Electra...like an old Buick. It used to be that they only named hurricanes and tropical storms.

This ice storm is a real doozy. Just in our county alone...57,000 homes without electricity...250,000 statewide. Especially with the cold weather we are expecting ( Tomorrow night...-3F), being without power is very serious.

Two of my kids, and my new S-I-L should be here any minute. They have no power at their house. Plus...an extra dog.

Better take out some more chicken for tomorrow nights dinner.

While the storms do create terrible terrible problems, it also brings a certain beauty when everything is covered with ice. Such patterns.
