Moth on the sill

Wake up Sid, that was the movie. Rush, puddles, more rain, forgetting, unusually long lines, missed portions of the movie right at the beginning and immediately after the intermission, etc, etc. Some of which I do not like. But a very enjoyable movie all the same. Simple, unpretentious and all coloured in great music. A movie about our bilingual (multilingual, to be more accurate) generation. One of the characters reminded me rather strongly of someone I know. Enjoyable... well that would be an understatement. Even for the delicious casserole and the brownie sundae that followed.

Loads of chit-chat at the haircut today!

Back to the simple things. Couldn't be bothered to take the camera when we went. Yet to organize all the Calcutta photos.

"Teach me something."

"What do you want to learn?"

"Something I need to learn. Perhaps a handicap of mine..."

"Humility, that would be it."

"What do you mean, humility? What is it anyway? Fawning? What do you do when there is a conflict with honesty?"

"I evaluate it situation by situation. Don't overly simplify things. It does not make choices or consequences simpler as you might assume."

"You are talking about power and nothing else!"

"You can't draw conclusions from hypothetical isolated environments."

"But I know there are hypocrites."

"And one day you'll know better."

"Some people never learn."

Now that's a conversation which did not take place.
