... tossed and blown!

As you walk through the storm,
Hold your head up high, And don't be afraid of the dark,
At the end of the storm, Is a golden sky, And the sweet silver song of the lark,
Walk on through the wind, Walk on through the rain,
Though your dreams be tossed and blown.
Walk on, walk on, With hope in your hearts, And you'll never walk alone.
(Rodgers & Hammerstein)

No I'm not a Liverpool supporter nor a great fan of musicals but these words seem very appropriate for what's going on outside! It is blowing a mega hoolie! We were meant to be having an afternoon walking and exploring with Robert and Finola, instead we opted for a delicious long lunch and much chat. On the way we had to be diverted as much of the sea wall has been blown away and rocks and seaweed covered the road. From their house high up over Roaringwater Bay we could watch the wind and wild weather doing its dramatic best. Himself went out to move the car at one point and literally got blown over.

We've made it safely home but I suspect the internet will vanish shortly. It's meant to be easing off around 9pm. Ooof.

The image, I hope, give some idea of the force of it all - corrugated iron flapping in the wind, and yes, I was flapping a bit too.

These chaps did it first!
