There's a Pixie in Our Kitchen!

The start of the long weekend and what better way to begin!

Two beautifully brewed expresso's!! (small latte's really!)

Its very exciting trying out the various strengths of coffee....elegantly color coded by Nespresso! Think mine was super charged...it kept me going all day with boundless energy and not sure that I'll be ready for bed before midnight!!!

Flat all ready for our visitors tomorrow and our Christmas high tea!!! Think the pixie will be on duty too!

I did wonder why it is called 'pixie' so did a search and discovered its the smallest in their range with an incredible 25 sec heat up time!

I knew some pixies like that in the Brownie pack I was part of in my childhood! They lined up with the elves gnomes and sprites and we'd all whoopee round the toadstool singing our own little ditty's

Look out, we're the jolly Pixies, Helping people when in fixes
This is what we do as Elves, Think of others, not ourselves
Here you see the laughing Gnomes, 'Helping mother' in our homes
Here we come, the sprightly Sprites, Brave and helpful like the knights

If we managed to stay in our sixes' and get back to our places without knocking brown owl off the toadstool...we gained a brownie point!!! Not to be sneezed at!

Fascinating what connections the mind conjurs up over one little word!!!

Will never be able to enter the kitchen and view the pixie in any other way now!!
