Light on the Vines

Life is very busy in many of the vineyards at present. The grapes are growing in profusion to such an extent that the resultant crops could be much bigger than can be handled by the wine companies. Amazing eh? A glut of grapes. Also too much fruit on a vine can mean that the plant struggles to ripen the grapes. Measures are being taken throughout the region to down-size the crops. This can mean “dropping bunches of grapes” by using several methods, either by hand or with special machines.
That aside I enjoy walking alongside several vineyards adjacent to the Taylor River tracks. This morning was particularly pleasant. I was out with the dogs at 6am. The moon was still dropping in the sky to the north-west and thee were quite a few clouds in the sky. However once the sun rose up over the hills to the east of the valley the light on the vines was quite magical. Today’s image was captured beside the upper reaches of the Taylor River.
