Journey Through Time

Robins

I looked out back and there were at least 4 robins in the back yard. They will return to this area to raise their family. They must be on a scouting mission to see where the best housing area's will be. They will make a nest just about anywhere...on top of leaning ladders and in hanging flower pots to name two that we have seen.

Rather a waste of a gorgeous day, but we ran around yesterday, so today was home day. I am about to make banana bread, so best get to it.

The American showing of Sherlock Holmes is on tonight. YAY! And I have lots of left overs for tonight. Bill has his choice of leftover lasagna, leftover Kalua Pork* that was in the crock pot yesterday, or Thai food, which was the unexpected treat from yesterday. So, Italy, Hawaii or Thailand....we can take our pick.

See ya kids

*The easiest thing to get the taste of Hawaii. One pork shoulder/butt roast. About a tablespoon of red Hawaiian sea salt (these fancy salts are more available now. Must use this or it won't work..) and liquid smoke, about a tablespoon. Depends on how big your roast is...ours was about 4 lbs. Rub the salt all over the roast and and put it in a crock pot (or in the oven), smear on the smoke on top and let it cook on low all day long. It's just Hawaii's version of pulled pork.

Lasagna is even easier...go to the freezer section and buy Stouffer's lasagna!

Thai is easier still.....bring some home from the restaurant.
