Coming Down

The tall building is the Victoria Square apartments which are being deconstructed just now. I blipped about them a short time ago. The roof is of now and it is slowing coming down.

Also coming down at the end of the month is the The Pallet Pavilion which is a Gap Filler. They have had a number of events there and also a market on Fridays. This is a shot I took of it a while back.

With the Pallet Pavilion and the apartments gone soon this area is going to look so different. Here is a shot when the Crowne Plaza was coming down at the same spot. Here is another shot from about the same place before the Copthorne Hotel came down as well.

The arches are going to pave the way for market stalls and can be covered with fabric if the need for a covered venues, arises. They are also relocatable.

It was Waitangi Day today so was a public holiday. We were lucky to get a fine day but there was a cold wind.
